Arlington, VA, December 29, 2008 - Vornado/Charles E. Smith has awarded the 2231 Crystal Drive Lobby Renovation project to SIGAL Construction Corporation. The main lobby at 2231 Crystal Drive will undergo a complete transformation from its original design to a contemporary palette of stone, stainless steel and glass. The contemporary upgrades will extend to the second and third floor lobbies, and SIGAL will update the elevator lobbies on all levels of the underground parking garage. The renovation will make 2231’s lobby spaces consistent with other Vornado/Charles E. Smith buildings in the Crystal Park Complex.
2231 Crystal Drive is fully leased, with notable tenants as Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and SIGAL’s own Corporate Office. The project requires full operational capacity at all times during the 13,500 square foot renovation.
The Project Architect is Mario Degiusi of Lehman Smith McLeish, PLLC, located in Georgetown, Washington, DC.
Founded in 1977, SIGAL is one of Washington's premier general contractors, known in the industry for high quality, cost consciousness, excellent client relations, and an ability to tackle unique and challenging jobs. |
