Long known for its traditional burgundy SIGAL name on construction signs throughout the Metro DC area and on corporate materials, SIGAL's change to a vibrant green color palate will align its corporate sustainable building philosophy with its corporate brand image. The "Building a Green Future" tagline re-enforces SIGAL's leadership position in the green building movement.

"We have been at the forefront of the green building movement," said Gerald R. Sigal, owner and founder of SIGAL Construction. "We felt it was time that our corporate colors and marketing materials reflected our leadership role."

As a founding member of the US Green Building Council, SIGAL was part of the original committee that helped spearhead the US Green Building Council's LEED rating system. SIGAL's new offices in Arlington are LEED-CI Silver, which is the first LEED-CI project of any rating level in Arlington County. The offices serve as a showcase of how green technologies can be utilized to create a beautiful, modern office and be environmentally-friendly.

"We have utilized the latest green building techniques in our offices," Sigal continued. "We not only build green, we 'live' green."

Currently, SIGAL is working on the following buildings that are designed to LEED standards:
Wilson Pool project in the District of Columbia will be LEED Silver for New Construction;
1331 L Street, NW is projected to be LEED Gold for Core & Shell; and
Mortgage Bankers Association Interiors in the District of Columbia is to be LEED Silver for Commercial Interiors.
