Gene A. Rife, Senior Vice President

Gene Rife has been with SIGAL for more than 32 years, starting as a superintendent. In 1995, he was named General Superintendent responsible for coordinating and overseeing all field operations, including staffing and site logistics. In this role, Gene also participated in corporate operations, strategic planning, and preconstruction including development of critical site staging/traffic plans for complex base building projects, including as necessary, communication with surrounding neighborhoods, communities, businesses, and local authorities to ensure safety of traffic, pedestrians, and project teams.

Today, SIGAL’s field operations team comprises the full complement from senior superintendents to assistants, many of whom have averaged at least 10 years with the company and were directly trained by Gene. Career highlights for Gene include many award-winning projects such as the Wilson Aquatic Center for DC OPEFM and The Jefferson Hotel for Ogden Cap Properties. Other notable projects include 1331 L Street, NW (purchased in 2010 by CoStar), One Metro Center, Kettler Capitals Iceplex, the Tower Building at Tower Oaks, Bond Building, and others.
